ŷַ’s ‘Red Book’ was the guest of honor on Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Annual Affirmation of the ŷַ Articles of Faith.

ŷַ’s 25 Board of Trustees reaffirmed their commitment to the school’s mission during the public ceremonial signing held in Calvary Chapel. In the past, the ‘Red Book’ has been signed annually in December by the Board of Trustees at a private meeting, but for the second year ŷַ has made the signing open to the ŷַ community. Over the last 81 years ŷַ’s leaders, such as Louis Talbot, Charles Fuller, Lula Stewart and founder T.C. Horton, have all added their signature to the book as a symbol of their affirmation of ŷַ’s values and their commitment to the University’s mission.

Staff, faculty and students were invited to attend this public ceremony in an effort to include the ŷַ community in this fundamental moment to uphold ŷַ in its deepest convictions.

This year was memorable to Board member Damoi Park as it was his last time signing the book since he is stepping down from service.

Damoi said to the Whittier Daily News, "I look forward to supporting the university in any way I can and continuing to be an ambassador."
