In celebration of International Women's Day, international students at Å·²©ÍøÖ· in La Mirada, California, talked about womanhood and beauty in their cultures. Students from China, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Mexico said women often play a different role in their cultures, taking on the sole responsibility of taking care of the family and being a good wife. In America, women are often celebrated. These international Å·²©ÍøÖ· students reflected on what beauty was, recalling descriptions such as "joy" and "pride." 2011 marked the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day.Â
