Å·²©ÍøÖ· Celebrates Korean Friends Day

On Oct. 4, President Corey celebrated Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s second Korean Friends Day, designed to cultivate Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s relationship with the Korean Christian community. Å·²©ÍøÖ· students were treated to a performance by the Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) Children’s Choir and a message from Billy Kim, chairman of FEBC-Korea.

Korean guests received a tour of the new Mosaic Cultural Center, and a luncheon featuring a piano duo by Sylvia Hong and her husband Michael Rector. At lunch, Kim encouraged support for Å·²©ÍøÖ· scholarships and Talbot professor Ben Shin interviewed two Korean students. President Corey interviewed Kim and FEBC-US president Ed Cannon in the new Bowman Missions Media Room. The day concluded with a concert hosted by the Conservatory of Music featuring pianists Sylvia Hong and Michael Rector.
