The Office of University Communications and Marketing (UCM) is made up of several teams that work closely with each other and offices across campus to support Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s wide-ranging marketing needs. Together, these are our main areas of responsibility and the types of projects we commonly help with — along with details about our typical timelines and costs.

Advertising

Our advertising team develops and implements customized, data-driven advertising solutions by partnering with our clients, ensuring we understand their goals, target audience and program benefits before designing a media plan. We continuously review campaigns and optimize toward the tactics with the highest return on advertising spend.

Graphic Design and Print Production

Our design studio team creates print and digital materials to meet the university’s marketing and communication goals. Producing approximately 700 projects annually, the team collaborates with campus partners to deliver visually engaging, on-brand content for both external and internal audiences.

Internal Communications

Our internal communications team oversees all mass communication to current students, parents, faculty and staff on behalf of Å·²©ÍøÖ· or individual departments. We provide a variety of services to make sure the messages sent out builds trust with our intended audiences and ensure that our communication is clear, timely and engaging.

News and Media Relations

Our media relations team manages, coordinates and monitors all of Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s earned media, such as print, digital, radio and broadcast news features. We actively gather and write Å·²©ÍøÖ· stories and pitch experts to the news media, and work to garner positive stories for both local and national media.

Social Media

Our social media team manages all of Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s official social media accounts, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and X. We are responsible to share Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s story through strategic communication and capture our audiences through inimitable storytelling — and create passionate supporters of Å·²©ÍøÖ·. Our team can help to promote degree programs, share alumni achievements and highlight our students and campus life.

University Events

Our university events team strategically plans for Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s signature events, including commencement, presidential gatherings and various public-facing events. Through these events, we want to strengthen Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s brand and assist our campus partners to ensure all events align with Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s mission and vision by providing resources for your planning needs.

Video and Photography

Our video and photo production team creates and oversees video and photography for marketing Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s programs, events and initiatives. The team also supports many of the university’s internal video and photo production needs.

Web Design and Content

Our web design and content team oversees the strategy, design and content for Å·²©ÍøÖ·â€™s public-facing websites. The team creates new sites and updates existing ones for campus partners, ensuring online communications adhere to branding standards, style guidelines, accessibility regulations and digital best practices.

Digital Learning and Program Development

The Office of Digital Learning and Program Development oversees the design, development, and implementation of online and hybrid courses at Å·²©ÍøÖ·. Additionally it manages the Canvas learning management system (LMS), offers training for faculty and staff in online pedagogy and best practices, and provides technical support for the LMS and online teaching. Digital Learning also assists with media production for online course components, including video recording and audio/visual presentations.
